Results in 15 minutes. This test is indicated only in patients with symptoms or individuals who have been in close contact with a Covid-19 patient, within a 3-7 day timeframe from infection.
Antigen Test for rapid in vitro immunochromatographic detection of the presence of the nucleocapsid protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Monoclonal antibodies with high sensitivity adhere to a colorimetric device that indicates the presence or absence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the sample.
Not Recommended for Asymptomatic Individuals
The Antigen Test is not recommended for asymptomatic individuals or those with low viral load, as its sensitivity is much lower than PCR for such cases. This test is indicated only in patients with symptoms or individuals who have been in close contact with a Covid-19 patient, within a 3-7 day timeframe from infection.
